Transfiguration Parish School AfterCare Program
The Transfiguration Parish School AfterCare Program provides a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for students from 2:30–6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Each afternoon combines structured learning, physical activity, creative exploration, social development, and opportunities for student choice.
Students begin with arrival, unpacking, hand washing, and snack, followed by a variety of age-appropriate activities. Soccer is offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:00–4:00 PM, providing opportunities for exercise, teamwork, and skill development. Spanish language instruction and practice are incorporated every day through dedicated instruction, songs, games, conversation, and everyday classroom activities.
The afternoon also includes outdoor play, bathroom and transition breaks, story time, drawing, and rotating enrichment activities such as LEGO building, art, music and movement, discovery and exploration, and games that promote teamwork and cooperation. The day concludes with center time, student choice, clean-up, and dismissal from 5:40–6:00 PM.
Our goal is to provide a well-rounded after-school experience where children can learn, play, create, move, socialize, and explore in a welcoming and supportive school environment. It is inherently designed to be an extension of the school day.
